Remote Agents – one of the trends in the U.S.

At Loxysoft, we started our American journey 20 years ago. Back then, we had “Tele Answering”-customers, and our main competitor was Excel. We had many customers that were satisfied, but we never really grew as a company. A few years ago, we sat down and decided to go “all in”. We developed our “From A to Z” plan, where we found that the U.S. would be a huge market for our workforce management product, ProScheduler.

In 2015, we established our office on Times Square. The plan was to recruit, train and create a direct sales solution of ProScheduler. We have done that successfully, and now we are in the process of hiring a CEO.

I was given the opportunity to start up our New York office and spent two years in the United States. Meetings with American companies have provided many lessons, exciting observations and new ways to look at the workforce management business and companies. I have taken all of this knowledge back home with me and Loxysoft will continue, through our New York office, to keep up with ideas, trends and lessons from “over there”. Here are some of the things I have picked up this last year:

  • Software as service (SaaS), meaning that all applications should be in the cloud, is very common. I would say that 95% of all companies have it.Workforce Optimization (WFO) is growing more and more. Meaning that you buy a complete package. We are currently collaborating with several partners to offer a  comprehensive solution.
  • Remote agents and working from home is very common. Thus, the business model is that office space and all costs that go with this is cut out, and staff can work from home. It’s a challenge, and it’s important to continuously working to motivate your employees.
  • Consolidation, many companies are bought up and bigger consolidations are formed.
